The patented towbar system, developed by ACPS Automotive under its ORIS brand, ensures a precise, play-free connection thanks to its specially designed ball neck and the matching mount on the bike carrier – with no need for readjustment: The pins of the FIX4BIKE® towbar, in conjunction with the FIX4BIKE® adapter solution, ensure a connection to the ball neck – and thus to the vehicle – that is both form-fit based locking and force-locking.
FIX4BIKE® bike carriers are not only mounted with a single click and immediately perfectly aligned. They also sit absolutely securely – even during dynamic driving manoeuvres, rapid load changes or on poor road surfaces.

How FIX4BIKE® works
Patented system
Instead of the familiar clamping mechanism used on conventional bike carriers, the FIX4BIKE® bike carrier is secured via two pins on the left and right of the ball neck of the FIX4BIKE® towbar. Not only do they make installation super-easy, but they also provide that crucial extra bit of security. provide an additional level of safety and stability.
In conjunction with the FIX4BIKE® adapter solution, these pins ensure a completely form- and force-fit connection to the ball neck and thus to the vehicle: the FIX4BIKE® bike carrier sits absolutely firmly on both the horizontal and vertical axes and easily withstands an emergency stop or an evasive manoeuvre.
A clear safety advantage compared to conventional clamping systems, which merely absorb the forces caused by weight and driving dynamics via the ball.

Detachable towbars
Detachable towbars combine high load-bearing capacity with greater flexibility in everyday use. The ball head is only used when needed and can be removed afterwards, preserving the vehicle’s appearance. Vertically detachable ORIS systems are virtually invisible when removed. Many detachable ORIS systems are available with the FIX4BIKE® feature.
All-electric retractable towbars
Retractable towbars offer maximum convenience. They remain permanently installed on the vehicle and can be easily pulled out from under the bumper when needed – with fully electric systems such as the ORIS_E3, this can even be done at the touch of a button. In everyday use, they disappear out of sight behind the bumper and do not affect either the design or the use of the vehicle. Every ORIS_E3 system is designed as a FIX4BIKE® towbar.

Stability in all conditions
The form-fitting connection ensures that the bike carrier is securely fixed in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Even during emergency braking or evasive manoeuvres, the position remains unchanged.
Once fitted, the bike carrier is completely twist-proof and stable. Tilting or twisting is impossible. This inspires confidence: users can rest assured that everything is correctly secured and need not worry about having to check it again whilst driving.
This particularly secure force transmission is a significant advantage over traditional clamping systems, where the connection can shift under load.

Unlike anything else on the market
Attaching and releasing the bike carrier requires just a single movement. Bike carriers with the patented FIX4BIKE® mount are positioned above the coupling ball of the FIX4BIKE® towbar and then simply lowered until they automatically click into place with an audible click.
This means the system can be perfectly aligned even by inexperienced users. Removal is just as easy. Simply pull the handle and the bike carrier is detached from the vehicle.

A FIX4BIKE® towbar is a specially designed towbar with additional connecting elements on the ball neck. It enables a form-fit connection with compatible bike carriers and transport boxes and ensures a defined, stable position.
The difference lies in the connection technology. Whilst traditional systems rely on friction, FIX4BIKE® uses a form-fit locking mechanism via additional pins. This results in a more stable connection.
